PURPOSE: To sterilize hen's eggs during conveying in an apparatus for lining up the hen's eggs or the periphery thereof as a part of sanitary treatment of the hen's eggs.

CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for lining up hen's eggs is equipped with a roller conveyor 2 having a group of rollers 4 advancing while rotating, guide members 6 for interfering with the movement of hen's eggs (E) conveyed by rotation of the rollers 4 while rotating to the side of a sharp end side of each hen's egg (E) and reversing the hen's eggs and further provided with germicidal lamps 12 on the roller conveyor 12. Since the hen's eggs (E) are rotated in a state of nearly the whole exposed surfaces, the whole surfaces of the hen's eggs (E) can effectively be sterilized and the peripheries of the hen's eggs (E) within the irradiation range of the germicidal lamps 12 can simultaneously be sterilized.
