Title:
APPARATUS FOR MAKING NON-WOVEN FABRIC HAVING RAISED PORTIONS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3739448
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-woven fabric having raised portions especially intaglio and slub type portions by loading a fibrous layer on a supporting member having an uneven pattern and then performing a fluid injection treatment.
SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided by forming a supporting member consisting of a plane or a hollow drum formed with a main body having a peak surface containing a fine uneven pattern consisting of plural mountain parts and valley parts, an aperture pattern penetrating the same and at least a large zone more recessed than the peak surface. After arranging s fibrous web such as a rayon or polyester on the peak points of the mountain parts of the supporting member, a fluid flow such as water is injected for treating on the fibrous web first, then to both of the peak surface and recessed zone, and in the case of the drum, while rotating it, then further injecting to the apertures, removing the fluid passed through the aperture and then removing the fibrous web from the supporting member to obtain a non-woven fabric having raised portions.
