To provide an apparatus for manufacturing brushes which is capable of aligning both ends of respective kinds of bristle bundles respectively when the two or more kinds of bristle bundles of different lengths are to be planted and changing the height of the bristle bundles by making a bifolding position be different when the bristle bundles of the same length are to be planted.
The apparatus for manufacturing toothbrushes includes folding the bristle bundles 3 with a fold 7 as a center and planting them, and includes a pair of alignment boards 41 and 42 for aligning both ends of the bristle bundles 3, a first servo cylinder mechanism 51 for moving one alignment plate 41 back and forth and displacing it, a second servo cylinder mechanism 52 for moving the other alignment plate 42 back and forth and displacing it, and a back and forth movement mechanism controller 44 for controlling the first and second servo cylinder mechanisms 51 and 52. The forward and backward movement mechanism controller 44 controls the first and second servo cylinder mechanisms 51 and 52 so that the minimum interval B between both alignment plates 41 and 42 is practically the same as the length L1 of the bristle bundles 3.
