PURPOSE: To partially peel the coating of coated wire stock and to set conducting terminals easily and positively, and still automatically, by connecting metallic pieces to a heating power supply after contact bonding them to the front and rear ends of the wire as well as supplying it with electricity by means of a pressurizing and power-supplying mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: Wire 2 delivered from a nozzle 9 is wound around a rotary mold 23 to form a saddle coil body 25. A first metallic piece 14a for the coil body 25 is fixed to the chuck 24 of the rotary mold 23 and connected to one terminal of a power supply for heating 26. Two metallic pieces are supplied to the wire winding section on a holding table 10. These metallic pieces saddling on the wire winding sections at the positions A and B are successively contact bonded thereto and supplied with electricity by a pair of welding electrodes 20 and 21. After cutting off the wire winding sections at the positions A and B, the second metallic piece 14b in the position B held between the welding electrodes 21 and 22 is connected with the other terminal of the heating power supply 26 so as to allow the heating current to flow within the coil body 25. Thus the wire stocks are mutually fusion bonded on their surfaces, and a deflection coil is completed.
