To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a laminated iron core having an index device capable of easily changing a rotating angle of a squeeze ring, suppressing the increase of the size of the index device, and enabling stable control.
The index device 5 includes a servo motor 32, a deceleration gear mechanism for decelerating the rotation of the output shaft of the servo motor, an encoder 36 for detecting the rotating angle of the deceleration output shaft of the deceleration gear mechanism, a control means 40 for controlling the servo motor, and a synchronous signal generation means 27 for generating a synchronous signal indicating the specific rotation phase of a main shaft. The control means controls the servo motor in such a way that the squeeze ring is rotated by a predetermined angle at a predetermined timing per one rotation of the main shaft in synchronization with the synchronous signal.
