Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a lithium-ion battery and a method for manufacturing a lithium-ion battery, capable of maintaining quality of an electrode while reducing a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a lithium-ion battery including a laminate, in which a cathode sheet having a cathode electrode layer formed thereon and an anode sheet having an anode electrode layer formed thereon are alternately laminated via a separator, includes: a roller conveyance system 5 for conveying an electrode foil 1; a die coater 3 for applying an electrode material containing a solvent compatible with water and a binder slightly soluble in water to a surface of the electrode foil 1; a solidification chamber 9 in which water is uniformly sprayed on a surface of the electrode material to reduce the concentration of the solvent contained in the electrode material, thereby depositing the binder; and a drying chamber 6 for drying the electrode material.
