Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a screw seat, which can thoroughly and continuously carry out the processes from supply of a workpiece to threading of a hole in order to improve manufacturing efficiency of a screw seat, which is used to fix an interior member by a set screw to an aggregate composing a thin frame of a vehicle, etc.
SOLUTION: In the apparatus for manufacturing a screw seat, a plurality of holes are drilled and threaded on a workpiece (corresponding to a flat bar) machined so as to have a required width and length. The apparatus for manufacturing a screw seat is composed of a workpiece feeding unit for feeding the workpiece onto a work table, a workpiece positioning unit for positioning the workpiece, supplied onto the work table, to a required position by laterally moving it, a workpiece feeding unit for moving the workpiece in the longitudinal direction of the work table, a clamp unit for clamping the workpiece on the work table, and a hole drilling unit replaceably having a drill and a tap provided on a double column type frame standing across the work table.
