Thereafter, a mixer 110 mixes the supplied solid raw material and the supplied liquid raw material to manufacture the sealing paste P. It is only necessary to mix the solid raw material and the liquid raw material in sealing a ceramic honeycomb structural body 70. There is no need to stir the sealing paste P so that a solid component in the sealing paste P may not sink during storage, thereby preventing reduction in viscosity of the sealing paste P by stirring.
