Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the apparatus for manufacturing a spiral steel pipe remarkably improving the welding quality and the productivity by improving a grooving accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: Holding rolls 3 for both edges of the coil is arranged near a grooving device arranged at inlet side of a pipe-making machine and center holding rolls 4 being adjustable a roll height for absorbing vertical movement of a coil are arranged at the central part. The fluctuation of the coil edge parts is prevented by absorbing the vertical movement of the col central part, and the welding quantity and the productivity can be improved by improving the grooving accuracy.
