Abstract:
To suppress the variation of resin content of a tow prepreg.SOLUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a tow prepreg is provided with: a discharge nozzle 22 which applies a resin to a reinforcing fiber bundle F being conveyed, and has a rectangular discharge port with a length in a longitudinal direction longer than a thread width of the reinforcing fiber bundle F; a width detection sensor 40 disposed upstream of the discharge nozzle 22, and for outputting a width detection signal based on the thread width of the reinforcing fiber bundle F; an angle adjustment section for varying the angle of the discharge port with respect to a thread width direction of the reinforcing fiber bundle F to adjust the length in the thread width direction of the resin discharged from the discharge port; and an angle control section C for controlling the drive of the angle adjustment section so as to allow the length in the thread width direction of the resin discharged from the discharge port to come near to the thread length of the reinforcing fiber bundle F discharged to the discharge nozzle 22 on the basis of the width detection signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
