CONSTITUTION: A cuff 1 for measurement provided with a light emitting element 2 and a light receiving element 3, a light emitting element driver 6, a variable cuff pressure generating part 4 providing a random noise-like cute pressure to the cuff 1 for measurement, a pressure sensor 5 detecting the cuff pressure, and an adapting filter treating part 7 wherein the cuff pressure data output from the pressure sensor 5 and the data on the amt. of transmitted light output from the light receiving element 3 are input and system identification treatment is performed, are provided in the inside of the apparatus and elasticity of a blood vessel and its frequency characteristics are obtd. by the treatment of the adapting filter treating part 7 to measure the degree of vascular sclerosis.
