PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus for measuring a feed amount of a fishing line, capable of accurately measuring the fishing line feeding amount regardless of diameter of the fishing line.
CONSTITUTION: Wound outer diameter of a fishing line wound around a spool 2 is measured and a spool rotation amount necessary for winding an unit fishing line length previously set in set storage means based on the wound outer diameter is stored in a storage means and after storing the rotation amount of spool, the unit fishing line length is added and subtracted by comparing and coinciding signals of rotation amount of spool with storage data of the storage means and when these data does not coincide, the feed length of fishing line is displayed by operation of spool rotation amount and feed line length for each rotation amount signal. Thereby, storage volume can be reduced and simultaneously feed line length capable of following rotation rate of spool can be displayed.
