To provide an apparatus for measuring sound strength by sound sources and sound source location analyzing method in which the generation of a false sound source is suppressed, a resolution is ensured, a target sound source is separated from a plurality of sound sources, and the quantity of generated sound is stably analyzed in accordance with distance or sonic velocity variations.
The sound source location analyzing method includes the steps of: assuming distances to sound sources and computing a delay sum at fixed angle pitches by directions; extracting the direction of the maximal delay sum and defining it as a location of a temporary sound source 1; computing a delay sum while varying the distance to the temporary sound source with geometrical progression of a fixed multiplying factor and defining the location of the maximal delay sum as a location of a temporary sound source 2 again; and computing a delay sum while varying the direction at fixed angle pitches and the distance with the geometrical progression of a fixed multiplying factor near the temporary sound source 2 and defining the location of the maximal delay sum as a sound source location 3. Furthermore, a microphone array is provided wherein microphones are arrayed while gradually increasing or decreasing the intervals of the microphones in order that the difference of the intervals becomes a fixed value.
