Title:
APPARATUS FOR MELT REFINING OF ALUMINUM AND WASTE MATERIAL AND RESIDUAL MATERIAL OR ALUMINUM AND METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3737568
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically decrease the volume of the waste gases generated by melt refining by providing one end of a rotary type drum furnace with a charging door and the other end with a waste gas inlet and providing the waste gas inlet side with a burner and a waste gas measuring instrument to maintain the energy generated in the furnace at a specified level.
SOLUTION: The one end of the annular rotary drum furnace 1 for melting Al and the waste materials and residual materials of the Al is provided with the hermetic charging door 2 for charging and taking out charge raw materials 6 and the opposite side is provided with the waste gas port 7. The waste gas port 7 side thereof is provided with a discharge duct 4 for the waste gases 8, the burner 3 for melt refining and the waste gas measuring instrument 5. The drum furnace 1 is rotated in this constitution and flames are generated in the furnace 1 by the burner 3, by which the melt refining of the charge raw materials 6 is executed. At this time, the waste gas measuring instrument 5 measures the concn. of the hydrocarbon, etc., included in the waste gases and adjusts the volume of fuel and oxygen, thereby maintaining the energy generated in the furnace 1 at the specified level. As a result, the homogeneous continuity in the melt refining stage is ensured and the toxic materials in the waste gases are minimized.
