To provide a separating apparatus which effectively executes the melt-separation of the different kinds of metals with an extremely simple structure.
A furnace hearth is arranged in the inner part of a furnace body 1 provided with a heating means for heating the object metal to a temp. higher than the m.p. of the object metal recovered from a treating material. In this furnace hearth, a treating surface 2b inclined so that the charged treating material can be shifted with gravity, is arranged, and a recovering groove 2c, in which only elution component of molten metal due to heating of the treating material is allowed to flow, is provided on the treating surface 2b so as to cross the shifting direction of the treating material. The elution component of the metal to be recovered is introduced to a recovering opening 2e from a discharging groove 2d, and the block of the residual treating material is separately discharged from the furnace body 1.
