PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus suitable for spinning at a high windup speed by disposing a non-porous tube succeeding to a porous tube which is a cooling element between a nozzle and a first convergence element and is open in the spinning direction and concentric relative to the spinline.

CONSTITUTION: Many filaments 3 extruded from a spinning nozzle 2 are converged into a yarn by a convergence element 6 through a porous tube 4. By disposing a non-porous tube 9 on the downstream side from the porous tube between the porous tube and the first convergence element, multifilament yarn is manufactured successively at a winding speed of 2,000-6,000 m/min. It is preferable that the length of the porous tube is 10-800 mm and the length of the non-porous tube is 200-800 mm.
