Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a cake layer on a filtration surface provided in a filter and efficiently clean the filtration surface by a simple apparatus and method.SOLUTION: A filter cleaning apparatus and method comprises: a rotational shaft provided such that an upper plate or a lower plate provided to close a filter chamber of a filter penetrates the filter in a width direction of the filter; and a pair of drive shafts provided in the width direction of the filter on two side surfaces of the upper plate or the lower plate. The filter cleaning apparatus further comprises: a rotation drive mechanism which is coupled to the pair of drive shafts and rotates the filter about the rotational shaft at an angle of 90 degrees; and a plate opening mechanism which detaches the upper plate or the lower plate and opens the filter chamber after the rotation drive mechanism rotates the filter about the rotational shaft.
