An apparatus for data processing continuously outputs the auxiliary data without lacking or twice reading in the video signal output from the frame synchronizer circuit by: separating the video data and the auxiliary data from the video signal by a video/auxiliary data separator 11; storing the separated video data in video data storage units 21 to 2n; storing the separated auxiliary data in auxiliary data storage units 31 to 3n; and controlling so that the auxiliary data continuity controller 71 holds the continuity of the auxiliary data when the auxiliary data is read.
