Abstract:
PURPOSE: To estimate the sharpness of scissors by a method wherein data on the shape of the scissors and the shearing condition of a material to be geared is inputted and the sharpness of the scissors is computed on the basis of the data so as to be displayed.
CONSTITUTION: A CRT monitor 33, a keyboard 34, a printer 35, a hard disk drive 36, a ROM 37 and a RAM 38 are connected to a CPU 31 via an I/O interface 32. A designer inputs the shape of scissors and the shearing condition of a material to be sheared through the keyboard 34 so as to be stored once in the RAM 38. On the basis of them, the CPU 31 computes the sharpness sense amount of the scissors so as to be outputted to the monitor 33 as an image. On the basis of the image, the designer changes data so as to enhance the sharpness of the scissors further. Since the sharpness of the scissors can be estimated at a designing stage in this manner, it is not required to adjust respective parts after the scissors have been manufactured.
