Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new performance evaluation apparatus for damping apparatus for quickly and accurately measuring damping performance of a damping apparatus.
SOLUTION: A hammer member 12 that is dropped by a gravity action is made to trike directly or indirectly the damping apparatus 14 that is supported by supporting means 64, 64 so that damping effect can be exhibited. At the same time, the redropping of the hammer member 12 that is hit by the damping apparatus 14 for rebounding is prevented by second strike- preventing means 32, 40, 50, and 74, thus applying vibration force to the damping apparatus 14, and measuring the vibration state of a vibration site 82 that is vibrated by vibration force by the hammer member 12 using an acceleration sensor 72 and a detection means 76.
