Abstract:
To provide an apparatus and a method for inserting an electrode body into an outer can allowing smooth and reliable insertion of the electrode body into the outer can and thus for producing a lithium secondary battery having high safety.
The electrode body 2 is inserted into the outer can 1 smoothly and with reliability by insertion guide plates 12a, 12b provided at an outer can base plate 11-1 and an electrode gauging pusher 16, respectively.
