The apparatus for judging the rotary table comprises a reference piece 25 protruding from the table 22, an identification piece 24 protruding from the table 22 at a changed distances to the piece 25 at different tables 22, a storage means 6d for previously storing a time until the pieces 24 pass through a predetermined position after the piece 25 passes through a predetermined position, a counting means 6c for counting a passing time when the selected table 22 of a plurality of the different types of the tables 22 is rotated, and a judging unit for judging the selected table by comparing the passing time data stored in the means 6d with the passing time data counted by the means 6c.
