Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify constitution, and to enhance working efficiency, by providing the first axis and the second axis orthogonal to the first axis, and by engaging a roll along the first axis with a freely rotatable head member to be transferred to a storing chamber of the second axis with rotation thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A head member 18 is descended along the first axis 7 in alignment with the center hole of the uppermost roll 1 in a stack 3. The hole of the roll 1 is thereafter engaged with an engaging means 16 of the head member 18 to fix the roll 1 to the head member 18. Then, the head member 18 is lifted up along the first axis 7 by a lifting means 19. The head member 18 is thereafter rotated upto a substantial intermediate portion between the first axis 7 and a storing chamber 4. Then, the roll 1 is turned from a vertical posture to a horizontal posture by a gear box 21 arranged in the head member 18. The head member 18 is thereafter lifted to a position of the second axis 8, and is turned toward the storing chamber 4. Then, the roll 1 is pushed into the storing chamber 4 to release the engaging means 16, and the head member 18 is returned to its original position thereby.
