To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a bendable linear resin structural material having a linear three-dimensional projected part arranged on one surface or both surfaces thereof.
A recessed roll 4 and a smooth roll 5 or recessed rolls 4 are provided in opposed relationship and a molten linear resin 10 is extruded from the mold 3 of the extrusion molding machine 2 arranged above the recessed roll and the suspended molten linear resin is receved by the recessed roll. The suspended molten linear resin meanders irregularly to flow down on the surface including the recessed part of the recessed roll to be accumulated thereon by rotating the recessed roll and the smooth roll or the recessed rolls in opposed relationship at a peripheral speed lower than the suspending speed of the molten linear resin to form a linear resin accumulated body in the recessed part of the recessed part. The linear resin accumulated body is brought into contact with both peripheral surfaces excepting the recessed part of the recessed roll under pressure and the connection points of the linear resin accumulated body are fused and connected to manufacture the bendable linear resin structural material having linear three-dimensional projected part arranged on one surface or both surfaces thereof.
