Abstract:
To provide a highly efficient and economical apparatus and method for manufacturing an expanded metal using an apparatus of a simple mechanism.
Between a fixed bottom die with two steps of straight blades and a movable top die 6 with a wave-shaped pressing part which has two steps of pressing parts comprised of a front pressing part 4 and a rear pressing part 5 arranged in a staggered form, a metal sheet is inserted and sent intermittently by a length equivalent to two lines of cutting each time, perpendicularly to the straight blade of the fixed bottom die. Thus, the metal sheet is subjected to cutting and concurrently expanding of cutting to form a network, only by vertical reciprocating motion of the movable top die 6.
