To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal display apparatus, capable of preventing thermal deformation of an insulating substrate made of plastics, lowering the manufacturing cost thereof and enhancing the productivity.

The apparatus for manufacturing the liquid crystal display includes: a first support member 10 for putting thereon and supporting a substrate 200 and a transfer photosensitive film disposed on the substrate 200; a second support member 20 disposed to face the first support member; an elastic member provided on the surface of the second support member for allowing the transfer photosensitive film to be moved into close contact with the substrate; a driving unit provided for moving the first support member and the second support member toward and away from each other; and a vacuum chamber 40 provided for receiving the first support member and the second support member.
