Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a suspension arm for a motor vehicle capable of manufacturing the suspension arm for a motor vehicle excellent in quality, without reducing productivity.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus 10 includes: a bending device 11A for making a bent material; a forging device 11B including a metal mold 12 for press forging for making a pressed and forged material, and a metal mold 14 for finish forging, disposed side by side; a trimming device 15; first moving means 16A for carrying in a heated round bar shaped material 20; second moving means 16B for moving the bent material 21; third moving means 17A for moving the pressed and forged material 22; fourth moving means 17B for carrying out a finished and forged material 24; and first application means 18A for applying lubricant to the metal mold 12 for press forging and the metal mold 14 for finish forging.
