A tire manufacturing apparatus includes: a molding drum 1 that includes a folding back means of the tire component member; a side part ring 30 provided for both ends of the axial direction of molding drum 1 respectively; an actuation means to operate an arm support member 42 that pivotally mounts a folding arm 44; and an operation control means that imparts the motor driving force to either one of the actuation means that operates the side part ring 30 or the arm support member 42 and generates the relative displacement to the side part ring 30 and the actuation means. The folding back arm 44 folds back and presses the expanded tire component member 50 at the periphery of the bead core 20 to manufacture the unvulcanized tire.
