PURPOSE: To make it possible to automatically and accurately correct the error generated by the inclination of a vehicle and the change thereof, by providing an extensible and contractible part of which the length is made variable in the rectangular direction of a base stand, to an apparatus for measuring the deviation of a vehicle deformed by an accident at the arbitrary position of the reference point of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower angle variable parts 4, 5, which change the angle of a suspended body 3 to a base stand 2 to forward and backward directions, left and right directions and a composite direction thereof corresponding to the inclination of a vehicle 1 by the wt. of the base stand 2, are provided to the suspended body 3 and an extensible and contractible part 25, of which the length is made variable to the rectangular direction of the base stand 2, is provided to the lower side of a changeable part 5 and the suspended body 3 is connected to the reference line 9 coming to the reference of measurement of the vehicle 1. At this time, the variable parts 4, 5 are operated corresponding to the inclination of the vehicle 1 and the angle of the suspended body 3 changes. A point 11 is provided to the wt. 7 suspended vertically from a reference point 10 to be measured and a point 33 is provided to the base stand 2 through the extensible and contractive part 25. If the extensible and contractive part 25 of the point 33 is regulated in matching relation to the height dimension of the reference point 10 from the reference line 9 of the vehicle 1, the shift of the point 11 to be point 33 is observed to measure the deviation of the position of the reference point 10.
