Abstract:
To make it possible contactless and remote torque application to a rotor, and make it possible to simply and accurately measure viscosity or elasticity of a measurement object material in a wide range from a low viscosity to a high viscosity.SOLUTION: The measurement device comprises: a specimen container which houses a measurement object material and a rotor in contact with the measurement object material; a rotor driving magnet which applies a temporally changing magnetic field to the rotor, induces an induction current in the rotor, and applies rotation torque to the rotor by Lorentz interaction between the induction current and the magnetic field applied to the rotor for rotating the rotor; a remote driving magnet magnetically coupled with the rotor driving magnet; a rotation driving source which rotates the rotor driving magnet; a rotation detection unit for detecting the rotation speed of the rotor; and a viscosity and elasticity detection unit which detects, by the rotation speed of the rotor, the viscosity or elasticity of the measurement object material in contact with the rotor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
