Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for molding an endless belt, in which a film thickness can be made uniform even through a run-out or the like is present on the inner surface of a coating mold in the case when a centrifugal molding method, by which a film is molded by inserting a core mold in the coating mold, is employed.
SOLUTION: This device has a coating mold 1, onto the inner surface of which a belt precursor is cast and filmed through rotation, and a core mold 2, which is placed onto the inner peripheral surface of the coating mold 1. Rotators 3, each of which is driven by the coating mold 1, are provided at both the ends of the core mold 2. A releasable leveling member 4 is freely rotatably supported coaxially with and between the rotators 3 to keep a uniform nip between the leveling member 4 and the inner peripheral surface of the coating mold 1 through the following rotation of the rotators 3. The above leveling process is executed diserably in accordance with the dagree of dry to touch of a film 7.
