To provide a method for molding and cooling a low-cost food, preferably a confectionery product without requiring other treatments after the molding.
This method for molding a food comprises respective stages of continuously filling a solidifiable food 5 at least partially solidifying in a series of molds 2 attached to a chilled roller 3 in the molds 2 sufficiently and rapidly rotating the chilled roller 3 after the filling, bringing the respective molds 2 having the food 5 into contact with a conveyor belt 6, preventing the deformation of the outer surface of the food 5 when moving the molds 2 in the direction to separate from a horizontal position and separating at least the partially solidified food 5 from the mold 2 onto the conveyor belt 6.
