Abstract:
To provide a new apparatus and method for chemically reacting a gaseous raw material in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a gaseous product.SOLUTION: In an apparatus and method for obtaining a gaseous product, a reactor 10 includes: a reaction tube having a gas inflow port and a gas outflow port at both ends and having a reaction tube inner cavity that communicates from the gas inflow port to the gas outflow port; and a heat transfer medium tube having a heat transfer medium inflow port and a heat transfer medium outflow port and having a heat transfer medium tube inner cavity that communicates from the heat transfer medium inflow port to the heat transfer medium outflow port. The reaction tube has a mechanism in which a catalyst is placed in the reaction tube inner cavity and in which a gaseous raw material is brought into contact with the catalyst to perform chemical reaction in the reaction tube inner cavity and gas 9 containing the obtained gaseous product flows out at the gas outflow port. The heat transfer medium tube has a mechanism in which a heat transfer medium 19 flows into the heat transfer medium tube inner cavity at the heat transfer medium inflow port and the heat transfer medium 20 flows out at the heat transfer medium outflow port, and has a mechanism in which the heat transfer medium in the heat transfer medium tube inner cavity exchanges heat with substances in the reaction tube inner cavity through a reaction tube wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
