Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attach/detach, transfer and scan a printing medium without eliminating the manual work of an operator by providing three kinds of moving means. CONSTITUTION: In a printing medium operation device 2, an operation/transfer system is composed of the three types of moving means of a horizontal sliding rack 36 which can horizontally be moved, a drum suspending device 38 which can relatively be moved to a horizontal direction against the rack 36 and a positioning drum 40 which can move in the vertical direction by the device 38. The rack 36 has an almost plane U-shape. The scanning/transfer system is suspended on the supply station of the printing medium positioned above an auxiliary member 72 constituting a part of a frame 20 and above the storage station. The system moves to an intermediate station facing the supporting face of a plotter by making a part of the system protrude from the frame 20.
