Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a minimum disturbed flow in an eddy chamber and further make a minimum releasing of counter-flow of air containing smoky fog by a method wherein an amount of air flowing to a discharging system through a bypass passage is changed in response to an output signal of an eddy pressure difference converter controlling an amount of air flow passing through an eddy chamber.
SOLUTION: A sensing stage 44 of a dynamic differential pressure converter 45 is arranged outside a hole in a side wall 46 of a hood so as to detect a slight variation in air flow passing through the hole caused by a quite slight variation in pressure in an eddy chamber. In the case that the variation is detected, a signal is transmitted to the converter 45, amplified in a real-time basis and the signal is transferred to a feed-back control device 50. An operating device 52 to which an output of the control device 50 is transmitted moves a bypass damper 56 so as to further enter air into eddy flow and limit bypassing air passing through a bottom slot 40 and moves an outlet damper 54 in order to further open an outlet damper 54. In turn, in order to reduce an amount of air flowing into the eddy flow, the outlet slot 36 is further throated.
