Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing molten iron which can efficiently use exhaust gas generated during operation.SOLUTION: The method for producing molten iron includes dissolving iron ore in a reaction furnace to produce molten iron, charging scrap into a preheating furnace, supplying exhaust gas generated in the process of manufacturing the molten iron to the preheating furnace, and preliminarily heating the scrap by supplying oxygenated gas to the preheating furnace for secondary combustion of the exhaust gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
