To provide an apparatus, method and program for a rechargeable battery management that prevent a portable medical device from becoming unusable due to a shortage of drive battery residual charge for driving the portable medical device when the divice is used with an electric vehicle transporting it.
The rechargeable battery management apparatus for an electronic cassette and a portable X-ray source obtains an input image-reservation information at a scheduled date for imaging (steps S10 and S12); calculates electric energy for imaging in the electronic cassette and the portable X-ray source from the image-reservation information (step S14); calculates travelling distances of an electric vehicle from an address of a place for imaging (step S16); calculates electric energy required for travelling of the electric vehicle from the travelling distances (step S18); obtains information about battery residual charge of the electric vehicle (step S20); determines whether doing the rounds of their patients is possible or impossible based on the battery residual charge and the electric energy for travelling (step S22); gives warning if doing the rounds of their patients is impossible (step S26); and calculates a necessary number of batteries for the electronic cassette 10 and the portable X-ray source 70 if doing the rounds of their patients is possible (step S24).
