To enhance the productivity of a printing press by reducing the dis posal cost of a washing waste liquid and the running cost required in the wash ing of the printing press by regenerating a washing liquid with high efficiency, in an apparatus and method for regenerating the waste liquid of the printing press.
The waste liquid regeneration apparatus 15, which regenerates the waste liquid containing ink pigment, water and the washing liquid used in the printing press, is equipped with a waste liquid storage container 2 for storing the waste liquid 11, a plurality of the metal electrode plates 30a and 30b parallelly arranged in the waste liquid storage container 2 at a predetermined interval in opposed relationship to permit the waste liquid 11 to flow, the earth electrode plate 20 arranged so as to be opposed to one end of a plurality of the parallelly arranged metal electrode plates 30a and 30b at a predetermined interval and a high voltage power supply 7 for applying voltage across the metal electrode plates 30a and 30b in order to generate an electric field between the mutually opposed electrode plates 30a and 30b.
