Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately regulate a wheel alignment in a short time by providing a device for obtaining a ride height value, and correcting a wheel alignment specification based upon obtained height.

CONSTITUTION: A main control point 40 of a wheel alignment regulator 18 has a computer 42. A command from a keyboard 44 and a ride height measured position of a ride sensor 46 are input to the computer 42, and displayed on a display unit 48. A microcomputer 42 inputs measured values of the alignments of front and rear wheels, and retrieves an alignment angle specifications of the vehicle. Then, a right height measured value is obtained from the ride height measured position displayed on the unit 48, and the corrected alignment angle specification is calculated based on the measured value. The calculated value and the measured value of the wheel alignment are displayed, and the wheel alignment is regulated to approach the measured value to the calculated value.
