Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform a high-density recording and reproducing by providing a binary-coding circuit, first and second detecting circuits and a synchronized- signal detecting circuit, and individually detecting the signal from the leading edge and the trailing edge of the reproduced signal based on the first and second synchronized signals.
CONSTITUTION: Continuous clocks corresponding to the leading timing and the trailing timing of the binary-coded pulses are regenerated from the outputs of a leading-edge detecting circuit 20 and a trailing-edge detecting circuit 30. The presence or absence of the data pulses is judged in data detecting circuits 22 and 32 at the respective timings of the clocks reproduced in PLL circuits 21 and 31. That is to say, the data pulse corresponding to the leading edge is judged in the circuit 22 at the clock formed from the leading edge pulse. In the circuit 32, the same processing is performed for the trailing edge. A synthesizing circuit 40 synthesizes the processed results of two edge pulses, and the result is simply received by each clock signal. A decoder 50 decodes the data from the data series.
