Abstract:
PURPOSE: To greatly reduce the power consumption of a telephone set of the cellular telephone system. CONSTITUTION: When a received message is transferred to another telephone set, the battery power consumption of the cellular telephone set becomes minimum through detection in wait mode and when the sent message is transferred to another telephone set, switches 126 and 132 are turned off so as to reduce the electric power of the battery to at least one of electronic constituent element of the telephone set, e.g. a receiver 130, a display 134, etc. When a next sent message is expected to be received by the telephone set, the switches 126 and 132 are turned on to recover the electric power.
