Abstract:
To provide a configuration in an apparatus for separating air, which is easy to manufacture and install in order to facilitate vaporization of a cryogenic liquid while suppressing the risk of blockage in a liquid pipe.SOLUTION: An apparatus for separating air comprises a device for splitting the jet of a cryogenic liquid L in a gas stream G. The apparatus comprises a supply pipe for the cryogenic liquid having an internal diameter of 10 mm or more, and a gas tube T of a circular cross section having a diameter d. The gas tube has a portion that is reduced in diameter with a ratio of 20 to 50% at the point of liquid injection and over a distance y, in which y=n×d, and the supply pipe penetrates into the gas tube such that its end is in the reduced-diameter portion of the pipe and n is between 7 and 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
