Abstract:
To suppress adverse effects of sulfur contaminants of a NOX adsorber by equipping a fuel filter for removing sulfur from a fuel stream of an internal combustion engine.
The fuel filter comprises adsorbents and removes sulfur-containing compounds from gasoline or a diesel fuel. An apparatus for extending the service life of discharge controlling devices after combustion, a step of accumulating the removed sulfur-containing compound, a step of releasing the accumulated sulfur-containing compounds, and a step of transferring the discharged part to a discharge control device are included.
