Abstract:
To provide an apparatus and a method for treating water containing organic matter capable of efficiently treating water containing organic matter including bubbles and capable of obtaining treated water from which ammonia has been removed, when the water containing organic matter contains nitrogen-containing organic matter.SOLUTION: A water containing organic matter including bubbles is deaerated in the deaerator 1, and ammonia is removed in a cation removal device 6 for passing through a gas permeation membrane device 10, and is then passed through an organic matter oxidation device 2 and introduced into a tank 13. Once a predetermined amount of water is stored in the tank 13, the water in the tank 13 circulates through pipes 14, 8b, a pump 9, a gas permeable membrane device 10, an oxidation device 2, a pipe 11a, a three-way valve 11, a pipe 12, and the tank 13. The three-way valve 11 is then switched to pipes 11a and 11b connected, and the organic matter-oxidized water in the circulation system is pumped to the cation removal device 3, where ammonia and other cations are removed, and then a disinfectant is added in a disinfectant adding device 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
