Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for recovering/treating valuable metals, in each of which recycling of noble metals can be facilitated, deterioration of durability of a first treatment furnace due to superheating can be prevented and risks of generation of dioxin or ignition of incineration ash can be prevented beforehand.SOLUTION: The apparatus for recovering/treating valuable metals includes: a first treatment furnace 10; a second treatment furnace 21a for burning a gasified and volume-reduced material; a third treatment furnace 21b for burning combustible pyrolysis gas; a water seal type conveyor 30 for cooling/conveying incineration ash 2c of noble metal scraps 2a; temperature measuring means 17 for measuring the inside temperature of the second treatment furnace; water spraying means 18 for spraying water toward a discharge port of the first treatment furnace; control means 20 for actuating the water spraying means 18 so that the inside temperature of the second treatment furnace is kept within a predetermined range. When the inside temperature measured by the temperature measuring means 17 becomes equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature, cooling water is sprayed toward the inside of the second treatment furnace 21a by the water spraying means 18 so that the inside temperature of the second treatment furnace is kept within the predetermined range.
