To provide a working apparatus and working method of fine recessed part by which fine recessed parts are formed accurately on the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface of a workpiece, the reduction of the cost of working is achievable, and besides, the control of the layout pattern of the fine recessed parts to be formed on the workpiece is also achievable.
This apparatus is provided with a working roller 11 which is provided with fine projecting and recessing parts on the outer peripheral surface and rotated around a roller shaft 11B and a pressing mechanism 20 by which the outer peripheral surface of the working roller 11 can be pressed against an inner peripheral surface Ba by making the working roller 11 approach to and separate from the inner peripheral surface Ba of a cylinder bore B which is supported with the center shaft which is parallel to the roller shaft 11B. A variable mechanism 30 of the distribution density of the projecting and recessing parts by which the distribution density of the fine projecting and recessing parts 31a on the outer peripheral surface is variable is provided on the working roller 11. Working is performed in the cylinder bore B by rotating the working roller 11 around the center shaft while pressing the fine projecting and recessing parts 31a on the outer peripheral surface against the inner peripheral surface Ba of the cylinder bore B.
