The apparatus for moving body has a present position confirming means for confirming a present position, a broadcast receiving means for receiving television broadcast signals, a reception state confirming means for confirming reception states of the received broadcast signals from each broadcast station, and a first storage means for correlating reception state information indicating the reception states confirmed by the reception state confirming means with the present position to store them. This apparatus can create by itself a database of more detailed information about reception state which cannot be known from the conventional apparatus using information about receivable channels for every broadcast area.
