To improve an apparatus for needle punching a fiber web so as to attain a high felt formation ratio and extreme increase of strength in the longitudinal direction of the fiber web.
This apparatus for needle-punching a fiber web has at least one needle board 2 capable of reciprocating in the thrusting direction and a stationary bed plate 4 opposing the needle board 2 in the thrusting direction. The head plate 4 forms zones 16 and 17 inclined in mutually opposing directions in a needle thrusting range in a web passing direction 15. A transfer zone 18 which continuously transfers to the zone 16 and 17 and exists similarly in a needle thrusting region is laid between the zones 16 and 17 inclined in the mutually opposing directions on the bed plate 4.
