Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an explanation mode that is user-friendly and easy to understand on a display of an equipment operating device.SOLUTION: An equipment operating device comprises a display 5 and switches 6-12, controls an equipment body, and includes an explanation mode for displaying, on the display 5, display contents of the display 5 and explanations relating to appearance composition portions composed of the switches 6-12. The explanation mode displays an appearance typical view 15 of the equipment operating device and an appearance composition portion list 14 whose explanations are desired to be displayed, on the display 5, so as to identify the appearance composition portion in the appearance typical view 15 corresponding to a selection item in the list selected by switching operation. When a selection item is determined from among the list 14 by the switching operation, the explanation mode displays so as to identify an appearance composition portion in the appearance typical view 15 corresponding to the selection item and displays an explanation relating to the selection item.
