To provide an apparatus which reliably packages a bundle of linear objects in a state that the bundle of the linear objects is fixed on a spool body, or the like, without rolling up the bundle of the linear objects with a packaging film.

A packaging apparatus for enveloping the bundle B of the linear objects by a film sheet C with a predetermined length has: packaging mechanisms 11 and 12 extending the film sheet C at a predetermined tension; and moving means pressing the surface of the film sheet C extended by the packaging mechanisms 11 and 12 toward the bundle B of the linear objects to move the packaging mechanisms 11 and 12 until the film sheet C is bent in a valley-like shape. The packaging mechanisms 11 and 12 includes at least: a pair of enveloping means 24 and 25 facing each other which sandwiches the bundle B of the linear objects on the valley-like surface of the film sheet from the rear surface side; tension adjustment means which adjusts the tension of the film sheet C; and bonding and cutting means 22 and 23 which are arranged in parallel just close to the enveloping means 24 and 25, and bond the parts of the front surface of the film sheet C and cut them on the outer peripheral part of the bundle B of the linear objects.
